The Magic Cabin

Magic Cabin is a national mail order and internet catalog dedicated to offering “Childhood’s Purest Treasures” – a unique selection of all-natural, heirloom-quality dolls, toys and crafts. The heart of Magic Cabin is in Viroqua, Wisconsin, where founder Sara McDonald and her team of 15 richly talented women create the “magic” of Magic Cabin. We design the catalog layout, write the catalog copy, design new products, hand make dolls and clothing, assemble craft kits and accessories, and work with other artisans and businesses from around the world to choose the products that will grace our pages. From our humble beginnings in 1989 to our beautiful 68-page catalog of today, we’ve been guided by the simple notion that children’s lives are enriched by ample time for open-ended, creative, imaginative play – this is time away from the TV, computers, and organized activities.
