What is a Define-a-Thon?

It’s a new word game sensation based on the book series from the editors of The American Heritage Dictionary. Contestants are given a definition and have to choose the correct answer word from four choices.

Why Define-a-Thons?

Being able to spell a word doesn’t necessarily mean that you know how to use the word. Define-a-Thons are a great way to build vocabulary in an entertaining environment.

Who can participate in a Define-a-Thon?

The words in this event kit are geared towards adults. It is best to have a group of 16-20 people participate.

How long is a Define-a-Thon?

The optimal length is 45 minutes, but it can be adjusted to the amount of time you have.
