HOMESCHOOL BUYERS CO-OP CREATES INTERNET’S LARGEST DATABASE OF CONTESTS & SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE TO HOMESCHOOLERS

The Homeschool Buyers Co-op, an online nonprofit based in California, is proud to announce the most comprehensive Internet listing of contests and scholarships available to homeschooled students – over 124,000 different prizes worth over $2.5 million! The Homeschool Buyers Co-op mission is to make homeschooling more affordable. It does this by negotiating discounts from educational suppliers. Now, by providing an online searchable database of contests and scholarships, homeschoolers can quickly find contests or scholarships for which they are eligible. Whether your homeschooled child is 10, 15, or ready to enter college, they can quickly and easily find contests or scholarships that will earn or save them money and give them something to be proud of. What’s more, this database is FREE to ALL homeschoolers. Visitors are not required to register or provide any personal information in order to search the database. However, they are welcome to join the Co-op. Membership is free. Homeschoolers may search the Contests & Scholarships database by grade level, topic, geographic region, or prize amount. Is your child a history buff? Budding photographer? Artist, journalist, thlete, or scientist? They are sure to find something of interest among the listings. Just one example is the Society of Professional Journalists 2006 High School Essay Contest. First place national winners receive $1,000 scholarships. All students enrolled in grades 9-12 in public, private and home schools are eligible.
