Resources from Scholastic

Scholastic recently sent along an announcement that they have some new resources at their site and to remind us of some of their old ones.

If you visit www.scholastic.com you can explore it for yourself. While I was there, I found the site offers some wonderful things. The first resource I explored was their books and authors section. Their In The Spotlight sectionI read about Frida

by Jonah Winter. The book about Frida Kahlo sounds like something I would enjoy. The description reads: Frida Kahlo had to paint. Just as everyone needs water, food, and air to live, Frida felt like she needed to paint in order to survive.

They offer the Scholastic News, games, Clifford Interactive Books in Spanish and English and more.

We are proud of defending the 1st amendment and standing up to a frivolous lawsuit, however, this civil liberties exercise temporarily ground HEM to a halt, we are coming back strong with the May-June/12 issue.

Looking Forward

HEM is available only in its digital version until start of the school year this fall. The next digital issue being the upcoming May-June, 2012 issue.

Preliminary plans are to have a print edition back with the September-October, 2012 issue. We are looking for 2 corporate level sponsors for this special edition, contact us today.
