Podcasting Folktales and Travel Tales

Kimberly Goza shared this message today at HEM-Networking:

I’d like to get the word out about a weekly podcasting show my family is producing. By way of re-introduction: We are HSing on the road (in other words we travel full time). We are also performers – mom, dad and son, known as the Act!vated Storytellers. In addition to performing live across the country (currently SF Bay area, next week Sacramento, next week Japan, next week…) we are now making our stories and travel tales available on the internet. Each Thursday we feature a folktale from one of our shows and talk about places we’ve visited.

This week’s Act!vated Story features the legendary “Paul Bunyan” and talk about the California Redwoods. Past episodes include visits to Lewis and Clarks’ winter camp, wolf park, a kite festival, and Tom Sawyer Days in Hannibal, Missouri. And folktales such as “The Coyote and the Eagle”, “Old Stormalong”, “Davy Crocket” and “The Emperors’ New Clothes”.

To listen just go to

By the way, you do NOT need an iPod to listen.

And if you’d like to know more about us and possibly see a show our

website is http://www.activated-storytellers.com

Thanks for sharing this with anyone who may be interested.

  • Unschooling, what is it?

You can rely on commonly-held descriptions; for example, we generally all agree what blue looks like, but what about cobalt, aqua, navy, cyan, sapphire, azure, indigo, cerulean, turquoise or cornflower? It’s […]
