A Story Piece by Piece

A Story Piece by Piece is a marvelous way to make reading a truly hands-on activity by combining reading with putting together an age-appropriate jigsaw puzzle! With stories written for young readers at their own ages and reading levels, these puzzles use humor and fun facts to hold the reader’s interest, while building vocabulary by defining words within the story and using questions to develop reading skills.

A Story Piece by Piece was created by children’s writer Jan Jones, a specialist in language arts materials, and it is the first jigsaw puzzle to license a new patent for putting numbers on the backs of puzzle pieces in order to divide a puzzle into sections before solving. This allows for more than one child to work on the puzzles together; each child can work part of a puzzle without being in the others’ way.
