There is another case of caged children out of Ohio this week and the Toledo Blade reports that they were allegedly homeschooling.
Just like all parents, the majority of home educating parents are caring, committed, loving and nurturing. A small minority of parents might be drug dealers or criminals, but if they are, there are laws that are on the books to convict them and to attempt to prevent them from doing any harm. This is not an educational choice issue, but an issue of catching criminals and prosecuting them to the fullest extent of the law. I wish there were easy answers to protect children, no one, not any individual with a sound mind and caring heart wants a child to be hurt physically or emotionally at the hands of a sick adult.

Common said the boy will not return to school until the district has completed its own investigation. The district will home-school the boy in the meantime, she said.
Families homeschool. Districts provide at-home public education.
It’s not a big deal, but accuracy matters.
