Forced to Homeschool?
I would say that the author of this Chicago Sun Times article with the sub header, Board drops expulsion, OKs home-schooling has his terminology mixed up.
Apparently the Troy, Illinois school district has booted a boy out of the school building for a pellet gun issue. If he’s attending the 8th grade graduation ceremony next spring, then it appears he’s doing public school at home. Here’s a comment from the mom who is protesting the results:
I agree and want to take the time to point out the terminology is NOT correct. The decision to homeschool in Illinois does NOT need oks from a school board.
