Back to the Senate

Daryl’s got a way with headlines, don’tcha think?   The Defense Appropriations Bill has landed again in the Senate, but with more strings attached, not to mention Section 522 still ticking inside it.

In between the present-wrapping, tree-decorating, and cookie-baking (and I don’t even want to know if you’re all caught up, because I’ve still got only a naked tree, one poinsettia, two fruitcakes, and most the Christmas card list to get through), give your Senators a call.

Update from a trusted source:  Special Attention to:  Duncan Hunter’s office, (R – CA) (Chair of  Armed Services) Phone: (202) 225-5672.

Hunter is in the House.  Too late for him.  Although Laryssa (sp?) in his office was very kind in explaining the difference between the Defense Authorization HR 1815) and the Defense Appropriation bills.  522 is in Authorization.  Probably unstoppable at this point as it’s a clean bill (according to Laryssa).
