I just had to blog this. In one of my many Continuing Conversations regarding my search for the Navy recruiting manual, I found out how to say recruiting command in Navy: Comnavcruitcom. See why the search took so long? (any sailors reading this are probably saying "Duh!")
Still, all you need are the right words! (even if this manual is the outdated one, and even if it is at about.com)Navy Recruiting Manual-Enlisted

How do the rates in 1945 compare to 2006. What rate compares to third class?
Thank you
As I’m an Air Force Brat turned WAC, I’m sure I don’t know how the Navy rates from 1945 compare to the rank structure in 2006. You’d have to find a Navy historian, or maybe the Wikipedia page has information helpful to you.
