It used to be that parents were expected to teach their children X, Y, or Z at home. Wash your hands. Comb your hair. Wipe your feet. Don’t talk with your mouth full.
With the perceived success of homeschooling, “teaching” is out and “homeschooling” is in.

Money management is conspicuously absent from the curriculum at most schools, which means your child’s financial education begins and ends at home.
The article apparently doesn’t have anything to do with homeschooling. The inflated language just boosts the headline.

I probably would have passed on this bit of non-news if the Akron Beacon Journal had not gone for homeschooling’s jugular vein a few years ago.
