Marshall Independent, Marshall, Minnesota, 31 December 2006, Area finds many ways to bring in new year
Tammy Houle of Redwood Falls said her family’s plans had them playing board games to ring in the new year.
“We’ll probably stay home and play board games,” said Houle. “(We) home school and the last time we had a home-school get-together. Nobody organized one this year so we’ll just stay home.”
Spending time with her family is important to Houle who said New Year’s is a good time to spend together.
“It’s real important, we really enjoy it,” said Houle. “There are no distractions and we enjoy being together.”
As for waiting to watch the ball drop on TV, Houle said she’s not sure she’d be up that late.
“If we make it up that late (we might watch the ball drop),” said Houle. “It’s hard to stay up that late.”
