I’ve sometimes noticed on the comics page in the newspaper, that if one cartoonist uses an oddball word or situation, another one does the same thing. Today the same thing happened in the Google alerts, first an article on bullying from the U.K., and now one from the U.S. I should have put them together, but I’ve noticed that if I try the blogging strategy of reading everything, and then blogging that I get farther behind than if I just blog-as-I-go.
Bullying prompts parent to home-school, 25 September 2007, WRDW-TV, Augusta, Georgia
Sherrie Sutton wants bullying at Langford Middle School stopped. She says the principal at Langford told her she couldn’t do anything about the bullying.
Sutton’s daughter says she’s afraid someone will try to fight her and school officials won’t stop it.
“Usually it’s fights that are never broken up. Teachers just stand there and watch.”
That’s why Sutton says she’s not sending her daughter back to Langford, instead she’s going to home-school her child.
