In a series of reports from the The Garner Citizen’s (Garner, North Carolina) we read that the Southeast Regional Library may close to help trim 1.2 million from the library budget.
In a January 22nd report, Garner’s county commissioner Lindy Brown urged affected residents to contact her and other county officials. “It is important for the community to get involved,” she said.
Then in a short report on January 29 we read:
Homeschoolers plan another protest at Southeast Regional Library
Garner’s homeschool community wants Wake County to know how much it depends on Southeast Regional library. A group of local homeschoolers plans to protest outside SERL for the fourth straight day this afternoon, from 4 to 5 p.m.
All you need is a lota love and a library card. I don’t remember who coined the phrase, but it is still has meaning today.
