Hi, I homeschooled my child, I was told then she would not have to have a diploma to get into College, citing California laws.
Kim my Child is enrolled in college now, but they are on her about her school records. What can I do? As they are telling her she will not be able to continue if she does not provide them with her school records.
I did have her take an online High School Eqiv. Test which she past but they won’t take that either unless it is mailed Directly from them. We are having problems getting that place to mail the records of her testing to the school. Can you please help me. Tell me what I can do. Can I just print up her own set of records?
    Thank you

I am happy that I am a homeschooler in Texas because they are the most trusting of the parents’ decision to homeschool their children. It allows us to teach our children’s multiple intelligences. Some critics say that the lack of oversight, especially of those who choose are more unschooling lifestyle, leads to abuse and neglect of the learning process. While there will always be a percentage of bad apples in any barrel, on a whole, Texas’ stance on homeschooling has made it much easier for parents to adapt an education that is successful for each child.

It is this trust in our choice of homeschooling which lead a fellow homeschooler mom and myself to organize the upcoming Trust in Learning 2011 Conference which our speakers give parents insight and tools to help families have the right conversations about their educational choices. It will be held in Austin, Texas on Feb 11th and 12th, 2011. The website is http://www.trustinlearning.info.
