The author's daughter weighs tomatoes she's just picked

In the current July-August issue of Home Education Magazine, in her article titled Math Lessons, homeschooling mom Cheryl Trzasko writes about the lessons she learned as a child, while sailing around the world aboard a yacht with her family for two years:

“Sometimes days, or more than a week, would pass between math lessons. The lessons were not lively or entertaining; there was no variety in them. He’d write a list of multiplication problems and tell me to go copy them one hundred times each. Yes, one hundred times.”
